If I were to get a new iPhone 4, and transfer my iPhone 3G data to it, and give it to a family member, it seems that all my personal info (emails, contacts, etc) still be on the 3G unless I completely reset it per http://support.apple.com/kb/HT3828

But if reset it, would another family member need to have their own iTunes account to download to it? Or could I still download some of my music and apps to the 3G from my iTunes account?
.

I just did this. And my 3G is now gonna be my sons iPod till I decide to let him have the phone hooked up. The 3G is still on the same iTunes account but I just pulled all my stuff off and synced his songs for him
