So, my issue with beta 1 continues in beta 2 regarding certain apps "not being killable" without a hard reset. The two apps in question are SiriusXM and Yelp. I'm guessing other apps are also showing this behavior but aren't being made apparent.
Symptoms: SiriusXM will randomly begin playing at full speaker volume, even after the app was paused and killed in the multitask menu. This can happen minutes to hours after it was closed. This seems to be triggered by Safari - certain pages seem to pause any audio playing in the background for no reason, so it may also be the culprit in reviving SXM. Yelp, after being killed, continues asking for location services permissions after unlocking the phone.
Further implications: I notice that my home screen seems to eat up the most of my battery. It gets progressively worse between hard resets...With hard resets temporarily remedying the situation.
I'll try to reproduce the behavior. I'll refrain from using both of the above apps for two days and compare results in the following days. Has anyone noticed this behavior with other apps?
Phone: 5s, GSM/CDMA, clean install
