Hello,

My internal hard drive failed on me last week, getting the question mark folder when turning on the laptop.

To try rescue what files I have on it I have installed OS X on an external hard drive but I am unable to locate the internal one when logged in.

Anyone have any ideas how to go about this if it is even possible.

Thanks

Alex

Can you remove your drive and put it in an enclosure to see if it will mount?

Hi Jessica

I could do that yeah, was just hoping there may have been a cheaper way.

Looks like I may have to go down the enclosure route though.

Thanks for your help.
