Issues with CD drive on MacBook 15" New Model

Hi all

I am having issues with my CD playing or even recognising legit audio CDs. However I can still burn stuff to CD from the same drive but when finished the disc still does not appear in my iTunes...

Any ideas...?

+1. It's not unusual for a failed or failing optical drive to lose one type of functionality (e.g. ability to read commercial audio CDs) but not another (e.g. ability to burn CD-Rs).
