HomePod Issues with HomePod mini?

I have two issues with my HomePod mini.
The first is that there are times when I get a connecting message when trying to airplay on my iPhone and only a restart on the mini will fix it.
The second problem is listening to a radio station from Tunein and then asking it to continue playing at a later time, it plays for two seconds and then stops and only a restart will fix,
Would a replacement be better for me?

I would try a reset and re-pair.

Sounds like all of my HomePod minis. I doubt a replacement will help.

also try rebooting your router. And making sure the HomePod isn't in a wi-fi hole in your house.
