Morning all (UK time),

Am about to book in a Genius appointment to get my iPhone 5 checked out....

It's recently started giving me charging problems with the official cable, saying "charging is not supported with this accessory". As well as this, I'm getting problems with the home button sticking/not registering a press.

With the cable issue, I've tried a couple of official cables (one from phone, one from iPad Mini) and am getting the same results.... have also tried the old "clean the Lightning connector" trick as well to no avail. Mulitple chargers tested as well (iPhone, iPad mini, old iPad2 high capacity charger - all official).

The home button problem has been creeping up recently and I've noticed over time that the button's got some give in it, before it actually clicks.

The phone itself is a December swap out, as my day one phone had dust behind the lense.

Does anyone have any experience of these issues?

Why are you asking us what the Genius is going to say when you see him?!

Surely, it will be more of interest to all and sundry if you describe your problem and then describe the Geniuses explanation.

Helpful to know if anyone else has had the same kind of issues.... Thank you though Sir, I'll take your advice though and report back with the Genius's response once I manage to get booked in!
