1. installed osx on a samsung f1 750gb drive - now it keeps clicking.. clickclick, clickclick...is that normal?!

2. superdrive stopped working.. when i put the mac pro osx install disc in, it ejects it. this happened after i've installed the optional installs, and vista.. so it started off working..

3. vista boots fine, and is installed on the stock HD. osX doesn't boot. after the apple on grey screen, it goes to blue screen, and normally it goes to desktop, but now it's blue screen, and that's it.
my mouse can move around, but nothing.. for hours.. nothing

:(

any ideas? i guess i'm calling apple care tomorrow

I had a very similar issue a few weeks ago w/ the wife's iMac. The clicks, grey and blue screen = hard drive. Do you still have OS X installed on the stock drive?

If nothing else, take out the F1 and see if the superdrive works in vista. Your samsung is shot, for sure. I don't see why the superdrive would go out.

yeah, if it works at all on anything back it up...

clicks are a precursor to death

nope. superdrive dont work in vista either.
so i can't even reinstall osx into stock drive (which now has vista).

:(
what to do?
