Issues with mounting an encrypted drive

Hello,

I have a 4 bay eSATA external enclosure plugged into my 2009MP. The enclosure and card work perfectly. I encrypted one of the drives in the enclosure, and as long as I fill the password as I power the enclosure on, the encrypted drive mounts.

But if I decide not to mount it immediately, I can't mount it later (the Mount button is greyed out in Disk Utility). The only solution is to power the enclosure off and on.

Is there a better way?
