I've been having some issues lately with booting up my iMac. When I try and boot up, I get a blank gray screen for about 10-20 secs, and then I get a blinking folder icon with a ? in it. I got this once before, but when I rebooted, everything was okay. Now, I have to reboot about 5 or 6 times before it finally boots up. Do I need to reinstall the OS? Is my hard drive dying?

It could mean your mac is trying to boot from a network startup by default. When starting up, hold down the option key and select the Macintosh HD. Once in OS X, go to System Preferences > Startup Disk and make sure you have your Macintosh HD selected and not a network startup or some other drive.
