I was on the 13.6 Dev Beta, and updated to iOS 14 Dev 1 on Tuesday. I noticed that I could no longer reliably access almost any website without long delays, and even after the page renders, it soon crashes. I noticed this behavior in many applications such as Quora, Amazon Shopping, Google Reader, etc.
Thinking that MAYBE there's an issue with Safari, I tried using Microsoft Edge (Chromium), as well as Firefox... same issues. I also tried changing my default search engine from Google to DuckDuckGo, again, thinking this was an issue with Google, or the AMP features for mobile rendering.
I've sent in a number of Apple Feedback messages, along with screenshots and logs, but of course, there's no feedback in our direction on this.
On a whim, I tried accessing a non-https:// website here at my home office, and it rendered perfectly, and quickly without issue.
So... I'm thinking that MAYBE there's an issue with my Root Certificates... because most of the web is now https://, and requires Root Trust.
Amazingly enough, a lot of web posts that are embedded or linked in Facebook, or Apple News seem to work, but very slowly. Also, YouTube (client) seems to work well.
Maybe I'm off, but has anyone else seen this problem? Or perhaps knows how to fix this?
For what it's worth, my Trust Store Version is 2020050500, and the Trust Asset Version is 8, not that this means ANYTHING to me
For completeness, I'm running on an iPhone 11 Pro Max 256GB, and I DID try reverting back to 13.5 (public release) and upgraded again to see if something would change... that was a several hour adventure! I would certainly go back to 13.5 or 13.6 Dev, BUT I also downloaded the WatchOS 7 dev beta, and sadly, you CAN'T revert a watch back to an older version (and WatchOS 7 REQUIRES iOS 14)... If i revert the phone, my watch is then a 'brick' until such time that I can get a reliable iOS 14 that works...
