I've got a file with DTS and playback with Rushplayer+ is fine. However, when I plug in my iPad to my receiver using the HDMI to lightning connector, the file does not display at full landscape. There are vertical black bars on both sides of the screen.

Regrettably, not even the latest version of RP+ does support external monitors. This is why they're driven in the standard mirroring mode.

Currently, the best solution is just remuxing your file and adding an AC3 or AAC audio track and playing it back with a player supporting external monitors; for example, nPlayer.
