Issues with speech to text on 4s

Has anyone else noticed, that recently when you try to dictate a text message or anything with the speech function it makes the noise, has the 3 pink/purple lights - then just does nothing whatsoever?

Ie. It just doesn't act like it's heard anything, even when you're talking clearly and loudly?

I have been finding the speech to text function working better than ever. It seems to have improved to me and is working great. I am able to quite typing on the keyboard and use the speech to text on most of my texts and email messages now.

I've noticed it too.

Frequently my voice-to-text works exactly as OP's does. I get the purplish dots and then nothing. It doesn't matter what app I'm using.

Yea it's been doing the same thing for me even with good signal and 3G

Same thing for me.. seems to happen when I try to speak out punctuation, but can't narrow it down to anything specific.
