Hello,

Recently, my internal superdrive started ejecting any sort of media I'd insert, about 30 seconds of chewing on it and then spitting it back out...

Does that mean the drive's dead, I can't even run hardware test since I can't mount the boot disc that originally came with the PB?

The weird thing is that it is showing in System Profiler and there aren't any messages or errors!

I tried inserting a cleaning disc but it received the same treatment as any other cd or dvd I had tried inserting...

Any help/suggestion that works would be highly appreciated!

Sounds like your drive is bad. It's a common issue. You could try to blow it out with a can of air but doubt it will work..
