Issues with syncing gmail on both iPhone and ipad

Hi all,

I have been using gmail on my iPhone for the longest and on my iPad. For the last week, I am getting an error from gmail saying I can not get mail and that the user name and password is incorrect. Out of this week of not working, it will work for like 10 minutes or so, then it start acting up again. This happened like twice so far (not working, then working for like 10mins). What do I do to fix this?

Yep, with zero problems. Also, I can send mail from gmail on the mail app on the iPhone and iPad. With the error i mentioned, I just can not receieve new incoming mail.

Yep, I tried that too.. Nothing... Is there some type of support I can email google?

Its the iPad/iPhone mail app using IMAP. So its the google mail option.

I find it's best to set the inbox to sync as no limit to get all my old emails showing before I view my inbox

Can't, u can only use one exchange server on iPhone/iPad and my job email is on exchange.. I don't want to mess with that. If push comes to shove, I'll ditch google all together and go MobileMe. Hope I don't have to go that route.

Funny thing is, it worked earlier today for about 10 minutes, then it stopped working again. So I know my settings are correct. It's something wrong in google side, but I don't know how to get help from them.

damn, i just found out this crap isn't working on my apple mail on my iMac also.... geeez...

Google does have a limit on how many IPs can be logged in simultaneously to an account, so I wonder if you're at that limit, what with the iPad, iPhone and Mac Mail.

Can't, u can only use one exchange server on iPhone/iPad and my job email is on exchange.. I don't want to mess with that. If push comes to shove, I'll ditch google all together and go MobileMe. Hope I don't have to go that route.

ah right, didn't think to ask if you had an exchange account setup already, couple of months you can have multiple exchange accounts when 4.0 comes out in the mean time I guess you need to just hold off accessing google mail from so many locations lol

There is a jailbreak app that will let you add up to three I believe it's called addexchange
