For the past few months I've had an issue with updating the software from the iPod. For some reason, it won't synchronise, and is threatening to delete my data. A lot of the things on my iPod I have bought on there. Admittedly, not the biggest problem, but I'd rather see if there was another way. So, I did my research, and found out that there can be a file that stops iPods from being able to sync to a computer. Turns out that wasn't the issue, but where ever the files are meant to synchronise to doesn't exist. So, I haven't updated my iPod in months, which didn't seem to cause much of an issue.

Having accidentally fallen asleep with my iPod on charge, the battery was almost full when I woke up an hour or so later. So I turned the charger off, put it away, went to sleep. This morning I was reading something on my iPod and accidentally clicked the lock botton. Easy thing to do when you're as clumsy as me. Only problem is, it won't turn on any more. The battery was almost full, and I was only on safari. I've tried charging it again, and plugging it into the computer, to see if there are any issues, but it won't even register that it's plugged in. I've had it for a year now.

Does anyone know a way to fix this?

OKAY, I'VE JUST CHECKED AGAIN AND THERE ARE A BUNCH OF THINGS DOWNLOADING FROM MY IPOD TO MY COMPUTER, BUT ITUNES STILL DOESN'T SEEM TO THINK IT EXISTS. ANY IDEAS?
