So after BioLockdown was updated I can not power my phone down. It just sits at the black screen but you can tell its not powered off. Also you don't see that white loading circle just goes to a black screen (with screen still on) I have to opt for the option to use finger print to power off my device then it will work. Any one else have this issue?

I have the issue as well. I removed BioLockDown and now it works fine. Hopefully there will be a fix pushed for this.

Just got mine working, had to go into BioLockDown and add a new restriction under the feature tab of "power off device" and now when I power it off, it asks for the print, and powers off. If I remove the restriction or disable BioLockDown the device won't power off, just sits at a black screen with what looks like two "shadowed" boxes on the top and bottom. So seems you have to have it set to require fingerprint to power down.. something not everyone may want as a "forced" option.

Thanks man...I rather not have an option to use a print to power device off...I will reinstall once it's patched.

I prefer having it require the print to power off -- in case it gets lost, they cant turn it off (I'm sure they probably could but who knows). I had it set to require fingerprint prior to the latest update but something must have changed with the way it does it since it wasn't prompting me for the print anymore, and it just woukdn't turn off, but instead sit at a black screen.

some people like to reboot their iPhones every few days, as apple recommends...

I'm not doubting you- just have never read where Apple recommends you turn your iPhone off every few days.

I honestly don't think I've ever shut mine down, since 2007 and the first generation- with no issues.

i had this same issue. i found out that the tweak RePower i had installed was causing the issue. I uninstalled that and it works fine now.

as for why people would need to power down, i made it so a fingerprint is needed just for protection. lets say someone steals my phone and wants to turn it off so it cant be traced via find my phone, they wont be able to without my prints. very useful feature
