I got a new MacBook Pro on Friday, installed Windows 7 Home (with full version disks) on Saturday and upgraded to Windows 7 Premium (downloaded online) on Sunday.

While shutting down from Windows it freezes in the "Shutting Down" screen and the fan starts running loudly and I have to hold down the power button to make it turn off.

I was told [based on description only of fan running loud and overheating] that it must only be a hardware issue and needs to be taken in. I just got this Mac and need it for work (which I just started today) and I need the Windows for work. So taking it in would really cost me...seeing as I JUST got the job.

Any ideas/further information?
