Good to hear.

I was a bit displeased to find it incompatible when I first installed SL, but upon realizing how significantly a fresh install sped up my MBP (it needed it), I decided to install as little as possible. I realized the only things I used iStat Menus for were the customizable menu bar date format, now built into SL (well inclusion of the date anyways, which is what I needed), and the drop-down calendar from the menu bar. I don't have my calendar back, but I'd really like it. Anybody know of an alternate for just that feature?

they just don't support it before SL release because they must don't want to pay for private SDK seeds

Yea, that's the case for a lot of developers and therefore applications. I've decided I really don't want/need the application, just extra overhead with a lot of functionality I don't use - I'm just wondering if there's something that accomplishes only what the menu bar calendar did. Just on the off chance that somebody knows of one. :)

That is a possibility, but I hardly think that a company that prides itself on churning out such nice programs would leave it until the last moment to update programs.

The beta updates and bug fixed did come fast and furiously though, so it's possible that they did wait until public release.
