I'm a bit confused as to what's going on with iStat on my iPhone 4.

Now, we know that the 4 is confirmed to have 512mb of RAM. I just rebooted my phone, and iStat is confirming this with the following read:

Wired: 62mb
Active: 45mb
Inactive: 23mb
Free: 295mb
Total: 423mb.

However, after having used my phone for a few hours, I noticed that the wired/active/inactive/free totals only add up to about 200-300mb.

Anyone know why iStat would be varying it's numbers so wildly?

I just got at iPhone 4 (and since it only launched in Australia, Bjango also only recently got their hands on them... they were at the same launch as me), and my iStat RAM does not add up to 256 MB (it's only ~180 MB).

My guess would be an update coming out soon. Clearly it isn't iPhone 4 ready yet.

(and yeah, I realise you posted this ages ago.)

i noticed something similar when i installed sbsettings when i tried out the jailbreak, most free memory i got was about 358mb with nothing running apart from mail/phone (which are persistant of course) yet ive seen friends phones sbsettings showing way more free?

im confused, istat not adding up here, will keep an eye out for an update

Anyone else not getting Talk times with iStat?
Mine says 0:00 at all fields
Standby 0:00
Talk0:00

Using it on iPhone 4..
Tried reinstalling the app, but that doesn't work..
Anyone an idea?

I have this problem also & the fact that when I check battery usuage & standby it's always showing -- but I have a feeling it due to JB my iP4. I always see info there when it's not JB.

I guessing Istat has never fully been updated for the I4 and 256 is the limit. even still It wouldn't show the memory being completely clean. I still have Istat 1.0 so I could clear my memory but I have noticed app is pretty worthless since I got my i4.

Also have a non jailbroken iPhone 4 and istat has all zeros for time remaining... No update?
