I was wondering what the iStat Dashboard widget's network section means, because there is a network transfer speed, but then there is another number that is in Megabytes. It says- In:0KB/S (78 MB) What does this 78 MB mean? I was worried, because it seems to increase every time I access the internet, so eventually is will grow to be a problem. Plus, is there any temporary cache in Mac like Windows, where there is a temporary folder that grows in size even though you don't do anything. If there is, what is it called, and can I delete the stuff inside it?

The 78MB is the total data that has come in through that network interface since the last time OSX was started up.

Wow - I never noticed that before. When I first read it I figured it would clear on reboot but evidently not.
I wouldn't worry too much about it - I haven't seen anything negative from it.
