iSync with W810i without any plugins - SOLVED

Hi,

I, as many others, had big problems with getting the Sony Ericsson W810i to work with iSync.
No one of the forum threads really helped and some said "it just worked"..

So.. I used the Bluetooth discover which found the device. I unchecked the "use the mobile phone as a modem" option.
Tried to sync - Didn't work - The program tells me it's not compatible.

Tried a bunch of different options and found that when I left the "use the mobile phone as a modem" option checked - IT WORKED!

And as long as no credentials or number is entered for the modem usage, iSync can try to use my W810i as a modem as much as it wants as long as it syncs..
Hope this helps others of you!

OSX 10.4.8 on Mac Mini 1.66 Intel Core Duo. iSync v2.3.

Er, iSync wouldn't be the app trying to connect to your phone as a modem.

true.. but enabling that option and accepting that attempt from the mac the first time you sync solved the problem though..
wierd as it is.. it works!
