RIP Yogi Berra. Thanks for giving a kid his first baseball autograph.

“The future ain’t what it used to be.”
“If you don’t know where you are going, you might wind up someplace else.”

Nobody will ever come close to Yogi.

One of his better quotes:

"If you are walking and you come to a fork in the road.... Take it."

BL.

There is some debate on how many of these 'Yogisms" he actually said.

Not a baseball fan, but I've always had a huge soft spot for the greatest modern philospher. I was sad yesterday to hear of his death, although he lived a long and fruitful life.

If Mr. Berra comes to a fork in the road in any further journeys, I hope he takes it.

Went to my first baseball game in like 1973, a Mets game. Was yelling at Berra to come over and sign my autograph book (that I made my dad buy me before the game). He eventually came over and I asked for an autograph. He said he would if I agreed to get a haircut, as my hair was quite long. I said yes. I had been fighting with my parents not to get one for months.

How old were you?

Damn ... I was born in '73!
