Wirelessly posted (iPhone: Mozilla/5.0 (iPhone; U; CPU iPhone OS 3_0 like Mac OS X; en-us) AppleWebKit/528.18 (KHTML, like Gecko) Version/4.0 Mobile/7A341 Safari/528.16)

I don't have any problem with porn, but I really hope this isn't released. There's a lot of crap in the store already without this sort of garbage.

First, that ain't porn. At some places in Europe, that's called "the beach." Here in the US, we call it "the 2004 Super Bowl." It's kind of journalistically irresponsible to even call that porn, Gizmodo. Nudity? Yah. But I'll say it again, that ain't porn.

Second, who the hell pays for an app to do that? Is it that hard to use Google and get about a billion times more than that for free?

Third, it *shouldn't* be a big deal if there are age restrictions. I know some self-righteous parent will probably throw a hissy fit -- we had one throw a fit around here about Harry Potter -- but there is much "worse" than that available just via the Web.

Lastly, I prefer this on there to all the stupid farting apps. Just throw up an Adult section and make your money if this is the worst that gets sent in.

As the honorable Justice said*, I know porn when I see it, and that ain't it. Gizmodo's way off with that. Plus, MR already has a thread on it.

Yeah, he didn't say that exactly, but you know what I mean.

I don't like the idea of having apps that are basically just slideshows clogging up the app store. If all these were put in a separate category, and it's possible to filter out that category from search results then that'd be fine, but I'm worried I'm going to start searching for games etc and every listing will just be 99c apps that are just slideshows of nudity.

How long until this is the #1 paid app in the app store? lmao

...not the kind of press Apple wants I think

This is just sad!

A quick search of the word 'babe' in iTunes reveals quite a few of these apps in the UK store. Their PG rating seems to vary from 12+ to 17+.

All seems a tad pointless to me when Safari/Google is a tap away, but thousands are downloading them... see number 9 in the free apps ;)

When did the nude female body become pornography?

OMGZ NAEKED WIMINZ!eleven1!!1! PR0nZ!

I don't get it. And the funny thing is it costs you money to go look at pictures of naked women. Cant you go take that $2 and apply it towards a drink at the bar for a lovely women? I'm pretty sure that $2 can be better spent at a ladies get in free night at the club.

$2 would get me less then half a beer at the bar, but it would cover the cost of a condom in the bathroom.

What about apps like Photokast. Nude photos have been on that thing since it came outs like last year.

I can just see the next iPhone commercial:

"Live in your parents basement, but need to have a virtual tryst with a hot woman? There's an app for that!"

And I'm sure they will uphold that. Nudity ≠ porn.

I dunno....you can count on some super righteous politician like Mark Sanford not being able to make the distinction and screwing it up for everyone else. It's not like it takes a lot of pressure to make Apple run away from almost anything with it's tail between it's legs. :D
