I ordered a new 2.5 Macbook Pro on the day it released. It was supposed to be here either Wednesday according to FedEx or Tuesday according to Apple. To my surprise I thought I would check to see the status of its whereabouts. To my surprise it was showing it was already delivered.

I am typing on it right now. My first!

Upgraded from a 2001 Sony Vaio running XP. It had a 900 MHz AMD Duron Processor with 256 MB of RAM.

I couldn't even do the geekbench test on the old computer because the minimum requirements to test is 512 MB of RAM.

My old hard drive was a whopping 20 GB. My new one is a tad bit bigger :D

Hope everyone who ordered is having their new books showing up today! Enjoy!

Congrats I got mine in the mail on Thursday after ordering on release day with standard shipping. I couldn't believe it go here so fast either. I love the new machine.

The trackpad is a great addition and I can't wait for future uses that Apple will put into programs. The 3 finger swipe is great for going forward and back in Safari.

What's the multi touch trackpad like then

Its not bad. Sometimes it seems to stutter. Comparing it to my old trackpad is a world of difference. Having the three finger back gesture is a huge help as well as the two finger scroll.

I am glad that I got the new one for this additional feature.

I have been busy adding photos to iPhoto. Only up to about five thousand but already I have been super impressed with the speed and ease of doing so.

Finally getting organized!

Oh and the lighted key pad is awesome.

Agreed on the key pad. Have fun with your new MBP!
