It is asking me the date everytime ......

Hi,

Everytime I turn my ibook on, it tells me that the ibooks date is set up prior to 2001 and that this may have an effect on some applications.

How can I fix this ?? I saw my computer and the date is set to 1969, Why ??
I had never changed it. Moreover, it's been a week that it constantly asks me
again, and again to set the date up everytime I turn it on.

Sounds like your internal clock battery is dead. If you set your System Preferences to get the time from Apple's server, it should set it when it establishes an internet link. But maybe not...

Exactly. Although if you are on battery it should still keep track of time. I would suggest not shutting down if you can't get the battery replaced.

Are you connected to the internet a lot? As stated above in your system preferences should be an option to automatically set your time and date according to the server. (US, Asia, EU)
