It it impossible to sort photos on the iPad?

I cannot figure out how to do something that should be so simple. How can I sort photos that are on my iPad? I mean, I can sort app icons no problem. There's no obvious way I can find to do the same for photos. Am I missing something? Thanks!

Unfortunately, no, there isn't a way to sort or reorganize photos on the iPad.

Can't be done natively at this time
It needs to be done on your computer and synced

Otherwise, I think there are some jailbreak apps that may accomplish this

I don't own an ipad (waiting on shipment) but I always thought it was ridiculous on the iPhone. Considering you can hold down on an app and rearrange them I feel at the very least the same interaction could be done with photos. I think currently holding on one is how you copy them.

iPhoto goes a long way if you have a Mac. If not, you can try folders.
