So as you probably know, Apple doesn't make it easy to make songs offline in bulk. The trick that is usually posted is to create a "offline" playlist and dump all of your songs into it. Then set the playlist to offline.
So I tried this, firsts buy dumping ~2,000 songs into it. Apple Music seems to only sync ~1500 songs (entirely at random, as far as I can tell) and completely ignore the rest. Before anyone asks, I have like 30GB free, and the entire playlist isn't more then 10GB. I also tried clearing apple music of any songs, and resetting it (i.e., turning it off) with no effect.
So then I wondered if there is some arbitrary song limit to playlists, and created a playlist with 250 songs, one with 350 songs, and one with 500 songs. Here is where it got even stranger:
The 200 song playlist had every song downloaded.
The 350 song playlist had the first 30 or so songs downloaded.
The 500 song playlist also had the first 30 or so songs downloaded.
After checking the 500 song playlist (I checked them in that order), I clicked the ... button to see if each one was still offline. Only the 350 song playlist was marked as offline, and ALL of the songs in the 200 song playlist disappeared.
Tried again, marking only the 200 song playlist as offline. A random selection of songs won't download.
What in the hell.
Has anyone else tried making large playlists offline? Im quickly regretting paying for this months of AM.
