It takes 8 weeks to receive your new iPhone 3GS in Finland

iPhone shortages - 8 weeks waiting time

Apple is still having problems to deliver the iPhone 3GS in some countries(at least in Finland, Sweden and Denmark).
Wouldn't be that nice to wait 8 weeks before receiving your iPhone.

Do you know of shortages in other countries?
 
Whoah 8 weeks. In my opinion you should just wait it out for the next iPhone if you already have to wait 8 weeks.
 
I actually pre-ordered mine in July, and I'm still waiting for the damn thing. My 8 weeks are up on Friday.

It should be noted, though, that the 8-12 week delivery time in Finland only applies to the orders TeliaSonera hasn't lost or accidentally cancelled.

Didn't the iPhone release on June 19, in which case it's not really a pre-order in July (two months ago!!)?

I wonder what Apple did here... it sounds like somebody seriously messed up! Like I said, the expensive iPhone ads got me into stores...to buy another brand!!

It was actually released on July 31st in Finland and Sweden. Can't remember what the excuse for delaying the launch was back then.
 
Yeah, the shortage here in Finland is pretty bad at the moment. But it seems the deliveries have gotten up on these couple of weeks.

I already have got my new 3GS, times two actually :)

The other one is in for a repair for cracking back side. I ordered throug my carrier shop here in Vantaa. The first came in 13.8 and the second one last week.
 
I am in Helsinki and have been waiting since 5 August with no news so far.

I have at least twice checked that I am still in Sonera's waiting list. Apparently I am 'getting close' to the top of the 32GB list...
 
Officially it is 4-8 weeks wait for the 3GS 32Gb in Switzerland.
If you are lucky you wait 2-3 weeks.

I was lucky.
Even luckier, I managed to sell my 1-yr old 3G, 16Gb for 500chf on the very same day.

Same situation in Spain, although they don't have a waiting list and you just have to get lucky after visiting a store every single day...
