It won't download....just says waiting?

Hi Chaps,

Started to download Lion about an hour ago and so far nothing has happened. The icon is at the bottom of the screen but it just says waiting, there is no progress at all.

Any idea what i should do?

I had this problem, I just left it an hour or two on its own and it started.

thank you, I'm new to macs...only had one for two weeks so forgive this basic question but I think the lion download will take all night judging by the lack of progress. if the mac goes to sleep will the download continue?

Just bought Lion from App Store, says "waiting" also, I think I saw it flash a message about apple server and an error #500.

I guess I will just wait.

Several of us from this post are also having similar "500" "100" and other weird appstore errors right now.

I think there may be some issues....

Took me at least an hour and half to download/install Lion last night.. It would download then it'll go down to -1 minute, -2 minutes, then it went to at least -10 minutes, then went back to normal countdown, then completed. I was a bit worried, to be honest.. but it worked fine.

Except FaceTime will not let me register for some reason.

hmm, I guess I just wait. maybe leave it overnight.

What happens if its still like this in 10 hours time, who do we contact?
