Items bought online returnable ?

Hi, if I buy some accessories from apple's online store, are they replaceable or returnable in an Apple store ?

As long as they are purchased new, you should be able to return them in store. However, if you buy a refurb from the online store, Apple told me yesterday that you have to send that back in because the stores don't deal with returns on refurbed items.

i tried to return an online purchase in-store and i was told that apple retail and apple online are separate and cannot refund/replace (unless there's a fault) items bought in the other
