iPod ITMS and apple account ID?

If I change my Apple account ID within the Apple Store, will it change my account ID within the ITMS? Or, are they seperate accounts?

Also, if I change my ITMS account ID, will all the songs I've purchased under my old ID still be attached to the old ID, or will they now use the new ID?

If you use your .Mac account, it should be the same from Apple online and the ITMS. If not, I don't think it will also change on the ITMS if you just changed it online.

Let me tell you my situation. I've used the same Apple ID for all my accounts: online Apple Store, iTMS, and .Mac account. I've used this account ID since the iTools days.

Unfortunately, when I tried my 60 day free try of iTools, the name I chose for my account ID was really stupid! (How was I supposed to know to pick a good name! I was new to everything then.)

Anyway, I want to change my .Mac ID name now. If I let my .Mac account go and get another account, will my other accounts be affected?
