When I try to play songs purchased through the iTMS, the authorization window pops up asking for my password. I enter it, the password is confirmed, and then I receive this error message.
The required directory was not found or has a permissions error.
I repaired permissions, but I highly doubt that doing so would fix the problem since my user accounts are on a separate partition and repairing permissions only works on the os X boot volume.
Recently, my hard drive started making very disturbing clunking sounds, accompanied by erratic system behavior and unaccesible files. The drive is working fine right now, the system seems to be running fine again, and the unaccessible files are once again accessible.
This error had appeared once before the hd troubles arose, but disappeared with either a restart or a permissions repair.
My suspicion is that something was screwed up during the hdd uprising, causing this error. Anybody have any experience with this problem and know of possible solutions other than reinstalling and all that. My drive took quite a bit of work to set up the way it is, and I really don't want to have to go through that hassle too many more times.
