iPod touch Itouch broken

Hi,
So i bought and itouch 2g 16 gb right when it came out and about a year after i got it i cracked the screen. SO i bought a new digitizer and replaced it myself. then it was working fine but the home button was very hard to push down. then i became unable to push down so i had to turn it off every time i wanted to get to the home screen. So i recently took it apart to try to move around the home button to maybe make it be able to push down. but then i had to remove the entire digitizer. Now i havn't put it back together and it wont turn back on. Any idea what might be wrong please say something.

I did and it would turn back on if i plugged it in and now im back to the start working itouch. jammed or un-pushable home button. now the screen is all white
