iPod touch itouch not showing up when i sync it

Whenever I sync my itouch it will show what is syncing at the top, but it won't show the screen that lets you pick what to sync. Like I have my music automatically sync, and I see that syncing at the top. But i got a new movie and I don't have that set to automatically sync. So what should I do.

Does it show up in the sidebar on the left? If so, click on that and your tabs should show up.
