I've been very happy with this devise. However I'm now very concerned. I've noticed that the last couple of syncs have resulted in the itouch geting very hot not just warm but hot. This is beyond what you would expect from normal running electronics. Infact it's to the point that I fear getting burned from it. I watched it sync yesterday and saw that it crashed and rebooted itself leaving me with a ipod that loss it's ability to play sound through it's external speaker and through head phones. The external speaker does however play certain beeps and clicks that you would expect through it's normal operation but not all. Any ideas as to what happened and perhaps solutions.

Just restore the itouch not much else you can do and if it continues try a different cable and then call apple if its jailbroken that could cause the overheating
