iPod touch iTouch stuck in recovery, won't sync to compter, won't go into DFU mode

So yeah, my 3G iTouch is stuck in recovery mode, it won't sync to my computer, and it won't go into DFU however many times I try it. I just bought it today from someone & I wanted to delete all the stuff, so I "deleted all content and restored" and now it won't get out of recovery mode, blah, blah, blah. Someone PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE help me!!!

try downloading "TinyUmbrella" and use that program to kick it out of recovery mode. then use something like pawnage tool or redsnow to help put it into DFU mode and restore or restore with a custom firmware

Does it matter if the iTouch won't sync?
