iPod touch itouch syncing problem

Greetings, i have been using my itouch with no difficulty until recently for 6 months. It has 47 podcasts on it that do not show up in itunes when I sync the itouch. Because they are definitely on the itouch but do not show up in itunes I do not know how to delete them from the itouch. help?

If you have iOS5 on your itouch, what you can do is go to where the podcasts are, put your finger on one, swipe left to right, and then teh delete button will appear.
