This is a picture of American Idol's Adam Lambert before and after his album art photoshop! Can you spot the difference?

I see no difference whatsoever. He looks gay in the first one and still looks gay in the second. Where's this difference you speak of?

Wait, you mean photos of celebrities are photoshopped before being released to the public? Say it ain't so!

I'm with robbieduncan, forget what he looks like without Photoshop. Lets see what he sounds like without autotune and all the other stuff ProTools does.

I prefer the days of radio when you could enjoy the music, not even caring about the artist's look.

In the immortal workds of The Buggles, "Video killed the radio star." But at least with Photoshop, some homely singers can have a fighting chance.

That's why I hardly ever watch music videos or bother having album art saved in my music files.

So, EW, SashaFierce, you've never had a spot or a zit before?

Anyway. My feelings about the overuse of Photoshop is well known (;)) I personally hate it — but: surely this is Album "Art"?

I mean if they were trying to pass it off as an actual photograph that would be one thing.

Perspective darlings… it helps.
;)

I don't use Photoshop, Gimp does all the same things for free, the X-ray effect is one of the greatest things I've stumbled across toying with the app.:D

Gimp has a horrible UI though, I just can't use it. I like Pixelmator myself, get the trial version then when the trial runs out just hit escape when it says you need to buy a licence then hit command 123 twice then command N, and there ya go! :D

I've gotten used to its UI it helps to have two monitors (I use my TV as the extra) to handle complicated projects when I need to spread out

Indeed. Even Photoshop can't fix that level of clock stopping, mirror cracking, camera breaking ugly sported by the likes of Lyle Lovett, Mick Jagger or Kieth Richards. They are famous based solely on their musical talent.

Nowadays we get a lot of eye candy, with little or no talent. The exceptions are few and far between. I miss the days when singing abilities still trumped looks.:( Were I live they at least have an Oldies channel.:)

You could also fix some of that in real life. I won't pretend to know what skin problems he has, but you can do some great resurfacing with beta hydroxy acid (salicylic acid) and retinol. Also, it looks like he might be wearing really caky foundation or concealer which would make any blemishes look worse.

BTW, he sings really well without auto-tune or any of that, I think it's pretty sink or swim on AI, and I saw a youtube video of him singing at a cabaret club before he was known and he was pretty amazing. I don't care for his style of music much, but I still think he's talented.
