Hey all,

I find it very interesting how pretty much nobody from the MacRoumors community have spoke about NFC in the next generation iPhone's as much as what was said on the iPhone 5 release.

With upcoming technology using NFC like the 'NFC Ring' which is quite literally "ring sized" that has two onboard NFC chips to access "private" and "public" information from your finger, I'm curious to find out why there hasn't been any discussion on the topic at all

Because it's not happening.

Apple isn't implementing NFC. They mocked it at the June WWDC keynote. Run a search on iBeacon and their uses for BT4.0LE.

I know that it isn't happening, and that Bluetooth 4.0 LE will obviously prevail - but last year after the iPhone 5 announcement there was a practical public outburst of anger. Just curious that everyone "forgot"...

iBeacon its their take at it, I guess though its not NFC.
crao, that sounds like iBacon, now im hungry
