Good. I no longer feel bad about telling a friend to go ahead and buy a MBP

The bright side is the longer we wait the more likely we are too see additional features when the MBP is refreshed. I just hope the MBP I bought in early 2006 with expired Applecare holds out till then.

It's nearly November. We had some decent updates in 2009.

Yes, but we've seen nearly daily threads asking if apple will be updating the MBP line. I'm hoping this will be the nail in that coffin.

Update

Apple called and said that their "Holiday lineup is set" but didnt say there wouldnt be anymore announcements.

There will be people that will visit these forums later who will have missed this story--so I doubt it.

That'll never happen. The only way to curb this kind of activity would be to sticky this at the top in a large bolded red font, then any new users will have to answer a logic based question gleaned from the information in this thread, and some will still figure out a reason to post, or say "I know what the sticky says but are the new MacBooks going to be out before Christmas?" mark my words.
