Softbank, Japan's official (and only) carrier of the iPhone, has announced that it is restricting 3G usage for VOIP and video streaming.

Oh, and if you own an iPhone? They are now also restricting 3G usage/speeds for simple WEBSITE access!

For users who have subscribed to iPhone and iPad packet related services before November 30, 2010, data speed may be restricted when accessing web sites that require large data transfers as done previously.

Net Neutrality? Not in Japan!

Am very disappointed with this news. Looks like I'll be back on DoCoMo with my new contract and an an Android which I dont mind, change makes you feel fresh.
