I agree entirely. I kind of miss the days before I knew about the rumor sites when every announcement from Apple was a complete and utter surprise.Originally posted by Doctor Q
I like being up on the latest rumors, but I realize that I also like it when Apple pulls a complete surprise on us with a product announcement that wasn't expected at all. Hey, maybe the Newton is coming back.

How 'bout in January? The Macworld San Francisco keynote will be January 5, 2004.Originally posted by bousozoku
Don't expect any surprises until after January. It's the wrong time of the year.

All you'll hear is the continuing success of the music store with the addition of Windows users, G5 sales, and the further adoption of Mac OS X due to Panther, Quark XPress, and other software.
Oh, and one more thing...

30 years ago next year, Apple introduced "Macintosh"...I think Macworld 2004 is going to be quite the event...and I am not going to miss being there.

Geesh, was I way off!
Sorry... let's see now....
We've already had a Twentieth Anniversary Macintosh...in 1997 Apple sold that beauty to celebrate 20 years in the computer business (if you count 1977 for the debut of the Apple II...the Apple I was 1976, but not mass produced)
1977-1997 = 20 years of Apple
1984-2004 = 20 years of Macintosh
There...that's better!

Now, I didn't hear this (again) but I would say a 30 inch LCD monitor along with upgraded G3 iBooks.
