I'm at a conference in Vegas and we're doing software demos in a large meeting room with our 3 3G iPads. AT&T is so unreliable we have all 3 using my 1 Verizon mifi for Internet access as the 3G coverage is so unreliable here. I though Scottsdale, az was bad... The service is even worse here!

For what it's worth I started out my trip at the M resort for a few days south of the strip and the service was almost non-existent. I then moved to the Wynn for the conference days and although the service is somewhat better it's still pretty unreliable, particularly indoors.
 
Kudos on the descriptive thread title but really, what is the point?

VZW is way better in some areas but in others, AT&T prevails. This thread has all of the makings of troll bait.
 
Cell phone and wireless reception depends completely on location.

Are you sure you aren't just pissed because a Vegas hooker stole your iPhone?

That's because Steve Jobs is opposed to fun and doesn't want you to call hookers on your Apple product. Last time I tried to call a hooker, my 3GS went into self destruct mode, exploded, and blew off my left nipple.

You're trying to bypass Apple's system to get your hooker. Steve Jobs doesn't like this. The proper way to procure a hooker is through iTunes, using your Apple ID. Or download a relevant hooker app from the App Store.
 
I live in Vegas and love my reception almost everywhere. Except, some buildings will have too much interference and block the signal. Airports being one of them and huge covered buildings. At some point the service provider is irrelevant. In-house Wi-Fi can sometimes be an option.

AT&T is planning on rolling out higher data rate abilities later this year or something too, so that would help. Or was that LTE something or other? I forget..

I don't think it's Win/Lose - people will continue buying what they like. There are lots of Apple haters that think the company is the devil because of a closed system, regardless of security etc etc...
 
Are not cell phones banned in the casinos, and will people not try to subvert this rule, in an attempt to beat the house in some way?

I imagine they are blocking signals everywhere in town, to prevent this.
