It's been a day, but no charge happens.
What should I do?
How long does it take usually to be charged after an order is placed?

Thank you guys!

Some banks are different. With my bank, anything charged on that day, doesn't get posted until the next business day. So when I used my cc to buy my iphone early this morning, it won't get posted until the next business day, which is Monday. Debit cards are different with my bank. It usually takes it out right away.

Yeah, maybe I should just wait...

Depends on who you ordered through and what you ordered. A lot of 6+ orders have not been charged yet, including mine. I'd wait til Monday/Tuesday before getting too worried about it.

I checked my Chase CC account shortly after my order confirmation at about 12:45am and there was already a pending charge for the 6+. It was a welcomed site to see it so I knew my order was moving along normally and was "locked" in.

Good luck with yours, hope it works out...

Edit: BTW, I ordered from Apple

I wasn't charged last night when I ordered because my credit card wasn't authorized and I had to log in this morning to authorize it through the apple website and was immediately charged. You should check your order status to see if you have this same issue.

I have a chase debit card btw.

Mine Says Full Amount Pending Friday PM

My cc states charge pending for the full amount. Apple says processing. This is earlier than my cc got charged last year for the 5s. I wonder if the 6plus are in the states already. I bet the tracking number still originates in China, but maybe not.

Any reason for that?

because I wasn't charged? So technically I don't own a phone now...

Why does tracking number originate in China?

Everything I've ordered on day one, except for my iMac which was assembled in California, has shipped from China on Wed/Th night and been at my front door Friday early a.m. It's a nerdy blast following the flight and listening to the landing of the plane your iPhone is on...

Doesn't mean you're not getting the phone. During the 5 preorder, I didn't get charged for 4-5 days after I preordered. Still had the phone on launch day.

I paid with my American Express and Ive already been charged...
Amex here too but just pending transactions. I got my phone for 3 bucks!

How, in this day and age, do people not understand how credit card charges work?

For any purchase, you will have a pre-auth charge that ensures legitimacy of payment and adequate funds. Depending on the bank or issuer, this may or may not show up in your recent transaction history due to varying technology and methods. Unless noted by a retailer, you won't be actually charged until the product is shipped.

It amazes me that every year these threads pop up and every year people have a hard time of understanding this simple concept.

You didn't get charged- you got pre-authed for the reasons I stated above. Apple/AT&T/Verizon aren't going to process your order if you don't have a legitimate form of payment. The "charge" will be dropped by Monday/Tuesday.

I don't think the preorders are doing anything but putting through a preauthorization just to secure your order. In my experience I've never been charged from any retailer until the item ships otherwise they are tying up funds on your credit or debit card when you don't even have the product. Even worse you'll get charged a finance charge. In the case of the iPhone 6plus that isn't even shipping for a month for many of us it wouldn't make sense for our cards to be fully charged for the product.

I ordered a 6+ through AT&T around 1230AM last night and received a confirmation email stating the estimated ship date is between 10/31-11/11. Today I received an email/txt that the order has been processed, and my card was charged for the full amount of the phone.

Does this mean it's shipping?
