I think it's really time that the ipad (regular) upgrade gets a boost to RAM. I can't go more than switching two apps it seems before the apps need to reload from the start again.

Do you feel the same way? I feel as if the ipad doesn't get a RAM upgrade, I don't think I will be upgrading.

More RAM would be nice, but right now, I don't feel like I NEED it. I'm sure future software would eventually require more RAM, but right now, the ones I'm using aren't giving me any problems.

That said, I'm pretty sure iPad 5 will have more RAM.

More RAM is always better unless it compromises weight in some way or usability. I thought we had a thread that pretty much confirmed the 5th gen ipad would have 2GB of RAM? If so, thats perfect.

I've been begging for more ram since iPhone 3G.

Apple is very stingy with their RAM, and they simply don't care that there is a usability issue when we can't jump from app to app to app seamlessly.

Apple has always been stingy with RAM. Most of the computers routinely have 1/2 for RAM as their PC counterparts even when RAM prices were dirt cheap

why not make the 128gb ipad 5 with an added gb of ram above the other models, that would push some to go for the 128gb model.

or how about a 256gb 13" ipad with 4gb ram, then I would skip the 9.7 model and just have the 13" and the mini, perfect.

Why is this even a poll? Would anyone say "no" to more RAM if it stays at the same price point?

You might be interested in looking at a MS Surface Pro 2 if u need the tablet with that kind of specs, dnt think such models will exist with Apple in the near future.

Apple will never release an iPad or iPhone with different ram spec models

But this would be a nightmare for developers/customers in the future. That takes fragmentation to a whole new level.

I am holding out for more ram. I am sick of closing apps so other apps run better. Ofcourse, I am running only 512 because apple screwed us on the Mini. 2gb would be perfect sadly though the max they are putting in anything is 1gb.

Its 1gb. Someone already had a live chat and thst person confirmed 1gb ram. By bye more multitasking:(
