The items at the first link look good... (most of them)
The item on the second link looks rather expensive.
Wheres this $589 you are talking about??

Those 2 links should have pointed to 2 Amazon.ca (Canadian) web pages.
The first is where the $589 came from.
The whole post was just "tongue in cheek" humor, but the links are for real.

The first link is a search page of lists on .com and the second is patriot memory for $43 dollars. It seems that the georit tracking thing or whatever it is has screwed up the links. What you can do is put them in code boxes so they don't parse and people copy/paste them instead. Can't copy and paste them as it is because they have been shrunk.

But yeah I changed the .com to .ca on the second link and wow... $4,000.

Here are the .ca links:
Code:
http://www.amazon.ca/s/?tag=macrumors-20&field-keywords=Acer+-+Memory+-+1+Gb+-+Ddr+-+333+Mhz+%2f+Pc2700+-+Ecc
Code:
http://www.amazon.ca/Patriot-Memory-PSD1G33316S-PC2-2700-333MHz/dp/B00M7S14YY?tag=geo02a9-20&SubscriptionId=AKIAI3FTSIOZQ7GOWL4Q&linkCode=xm2&camp=2025&creative=165953&creativeASIN=B00M7S14YY

And .com links:
Code:
http://www.amazon.com/s/?tag=macrumors-20&field-keywords=Acer+-+Memory+-+1+Gb+-+Ddr+-+333+Mhz+%2f+Pc2700+-+Ecc
Code:

Big difference

I bought a laptop out of Alberta last week(17" DLSD), and I was quite pleasantly surprised at how inexpensive shipping to here was...it was right around $25, which honestly wouldn't have been too far out of line for domestic shipping. Total shipping time looks like it's going to be under a week-they shipped it on Tuesday, and it's scheduled to be delivered on Monday.

Looking at the tracking on it, it's actually already in the United States(Minnesota) as I type this.

Try going the other way. US to Canada. USPS hits you hard for that.
