Anyone else having a problem?

I can cut and paste the address, but I'm not getting the little "download" button when I hover over a video on youtube. That's the only way to get the HD versions.

Vimeo works fine, just nothing on youtube and I tried safari, chrome and firefox.

version 4.1.0 fwiw

sent help request, but haven't had any reply from them.

I can't help you with iTube Studio, but ClipGrab works excellently for downloading HD YouTube videos.

downloaded it for a try and I get an instant program crash (report to apple...) each time I try to run it.....

You can use iStonsoft Free YouTube video downloader, it is free.

see it: http://www.istonsoft.com/youtube/how-to-use-free-youtube-downloader-for-mac.html

its every time there is a osx update it takes ages for them to update to make it compatable, and by the time they get round to it, it only works while the platform stays the same.

I am leary of the other options because since they are free I figure there has to be spyware or something going on to pay for them.

Additionally, I REALLY like that I can download HD video and automatically convert and export to itunes with one click.

I am having the exact same problem as the OP. In checking around I discovered that the button still works on Dailymotion and a many other second tier video sites and pages where there happens to be a video up.

It seems like this program and iTubeX alternate in terms of being useable. YouTube breaks one, but the other works and visa versa. So I keep both on my system.

I much prefer iTube Studio. It is very elegant and easy to use but more expensive, so I would hope that they could afford to jump right onto these issues. OTOH the program seems to get little exposure. For example you can't find it at MacUpdate and it is definitely not in the Apple Store.

Update: I was in contact with support several times, they have updated the program and it now works again. Apparently this is a game of cat and mouse with youtube to keep their program from working.

If anyone is having this problem, I suggest you contact support and they can send you the updated extensions.
