Itunes 10.0.1.22 has crashed my phone

So I just got around to downloading itunes 10.0.1.22, then connecting my Iphone 3G to it, and it's now crashed, with my favorite screen telling me to plus it into itunes. Except my computer isnt even recognising that my phones plugged in.
Anyone had the same problem? Anyone know how to fix this?

Since 10.1 is realeased odd that you are gettting an old version? Maybe do an apple update again.

I'd make sure everything on the computer is up to date, the restart, then try plugging the phone in again.
