iTunes 10.0.1 HELP ME

Trying to get thousands of songs that we had loaded in iTunes 9.x but are not showing up in 10.0.1.
I have found them in the finder
ME>music>itunes>itunes music>music>compilations>MMH xxxxx

when I get to the 2nd musicfolder there is not a compilations folder. the compilations folder is in the same folder as the 2nd music folder. EXCEPT the songs are not in that compilations folder!

Any ideas on how to find these?

Well did the
File>add to library>then used the search function for the MMH the albums all start with>select all>open

That got them in.
I HATE iTunes 10. I fail to see anything for me. Must be something in it for Apple.
