Itunes 10.2.2(12) slow import

Hello,

Ever since i updated it to 10.2.2(12) importing songs in itunes has come to a crawl. It will eventually do it, but it takes up to 5 minutes sometimes. I deleted itunes and reinstalled and the problem still exists? any ideas?

MBP first unibody. MAC OS 10.6.7

I've also got a similar issue.

However, iTunes simply freezes on import.

Lets say I drag in a folder of songs (5 songs), the beach-ball of death automatically pops up, and Activity Monitor says that iTunes is not responding...
